Henry (Ike) I. Fields

 ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Henry (Ike) I. Fields, Jr., age 64, of Ellaville died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at County Line Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.    

      Mr. Fields was born June 19, 1950 in Columbus, GA.  He was the son of Henry Ira Fields, Sr. and Ruth Bryant Fields.  Mr. Fields retired from American Can Company in Columbus as a supervisor.  He loved outdoor activities, especially fishing.  Mr. Fields was devoted to his family and loved spending time with all his grandchildren.  He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.    

    Survivors include his wife, Gloria Shirah Fields; one son and daughter in law, Tim and Katina Fields of Ellaville; one daughter and son in law, Traci and Dan Jones of Ellaville; one sister in law, Nancy Fields of Columbus, GA.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lynsie Turville, Hannah Fields, Haleigh Fields, T. J. Fields, Ashleigh Mitchell and husband Ryan, and Abel Jones.  Niece Caitlyn Fields, nephew Trey Fields and a number of nieces and nephew on his wife’s side survive also. He also leaves behind his cherished dog Bella which he always called “Baby Girl”.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Fields was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas (Tye) Lee Fields.   

    Pallbearers will include Timmy Fields, T. J. Fields, Jeremy Forehand, Dan Jones, Abel Jones, Ryan Mitchell and Stephen Inhulsen.
