Henry "Hank" Schlaeger

Henry Fredrick “Hank” Schlaeger, Jr., 59, of Cusseta, GA, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Watson Tante Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors will follow the service at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in FT. Mitchell, AL.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.

Mr. Schlaeger was born September 10, 1953, in Melrose Park, IL to Henry F. Schlaeger, Sr. and Marilyn Nolan Schlaeger. He was Baptist by faith and had served 14 years in the Army, retiring as a Sergeant.  He had been living in the area for 15 years and had been employed as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Schlaeger is survived by his wife, Denise Schlaeger of Cusseta, GA; by a son, Daniel Schlaeger of Germany; by two brothers, Mike Schlaeger of North Aurora, IL, and John Schlaeger of Temple, TX; and by two sisters, Pat Falkman and Donna Held, both of Florida.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
