Inez DeVane Hill

Macon, GA --- Mrs. Inez DeVane Hill, age 97 of Macon, died Sunday morning, April 4, 2010 at the Coliseum Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home, Ellaville, GA. Burial will follow in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Robert Poston will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Hill was born September 27, 1912 in Schley County, GA, the daughter of Eva Robinson DeVane and Arthur L. DeVane. She was the last of five siblings. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna, GA and loved attending the Senior Center. The family wants to thank all the caregivers at Villa Rose in Byron, GA.
Mrs. Hill is survived by one daughter and son in law, Nell and Johnny Plunkett of Macon, GA; one son and daughter in law, Ken and Deloris Hill of Winston, GA. Four grandchildren, Steve and Sandy Plunkett, Melanie Skipper, Lisa and Barrett Kriener, and Nancy Hill; four great-grandchildren, Jason Honeycutt, Amy Baughcum, Josh Krenier, and Shelley Black; four great-great-grandchildren, Justin Baughcum, Alan Baughcum, Kali Baggett and Kaden Black. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Hill.
Active pallbearers will include Barrett Kriener, Steve Plunkett, Alan Baughcum, David Barwick, and Marvin DeVane.
