Irving Gustav Bond, Sr.

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Irving Gustav Bond, Sr., age 81, of Andersonville, GA, died April 29, 2014 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held at The Barn in Andersonville, GA on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bud Womack officiating.

      Mr. Bond was born September 12, 1932 in Dumont, NJ, the son of Alpha May Bond, Sr. and Helen Bond.   He was a supervisor for Mulcoa, working as a ceramic engineer for 30 years.  Mr. Bond had served in the US Army and was a member of Andersonville United Methodist Church.

     Survivors include his wife Carolyn Bond; two sons, Irving Gustav Bond, Jr of Savannah, GA, David Bond and wife Debbie of Andersonville, GA; one brother, Alpha May Bond, Jr. and wife Susan of Macon, GA. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Donald Patrick Bond and wife Kim, Jernigan Bond, Karl Bond, Timothy Bond and wife Desiree, Kayreen Rigsby and husband Christopher and eight great grandchildren.  Mr. Bond was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Mae Bond. 

        In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, GA  31088 and Amedisy Home Health of Americus, 1206 Crawford St., Americus, GA  31709.
