     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Jakob Colton Stubbs, age 10, of Ellaville, GA died early Wednesday morning at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN.  Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2013 on the Ellaville/Schley Co. Recreation Baseball Field #2 with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery.   Pastor Will Rayburn and Bro. Troy Fripp will officiate. 

     Jakob was born November 4, 2002 in Sumter County, GA.  He loved sports and especially loved to play baseball.  Jakob, #9, played with the Wildcat Elites, the Wildcat All Stars and Tigers Baseball. In addition to sports, Jakob loved four wheelers and dirt bikes.  He was a student at Schley County and a member of Overflow Worship Center in Ellaville, GA.

     Jakob is survived by his parents, Bubba and Joni Stubbs of Ellaville; one brother, Trenton Stubbs; one sister, Ny’iema (Nene) Wallace; grandparents, Ricky Anderson of Ellaville and Cheryl Bailey of Americus, Mandie Barnes and Ricky Thompson of Ellaville, Sherry Stubbs and Jody Hudson of Ellaville, Roland and Deborah Stubbs of Oglethorpe, GA; great grandmothers, Edna Harbuck, Faye Thompson, and Carolyn Stubbs; aunts and uncles, Geni Leigh and Danny Dufresne, Kristie and Jamie Gregory, Rebecca and Ronnie Hall, and Trey Owens.  Several cousins also survive.

     Jakob was preceded in death by grandparent, Margaret Smith; great grandparents, Jimmy Harbuck, William Thompson, Bobby and Pat Anderson, Leonard Stubbs, Glen Miles; and one uncle, Chad Anderson.

          Active pallbearers will be R T Lumpkin, Alan White, Kevin Cloer, Justin Renfroe, and Art Maddox.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the team members of Wildcat Elite, Wildcat All Stars, and Tigers Baseball.

     The family requests that all ballplayers wear their team uniform and parents to dress in like colors for the funeral on Saturday.

     Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA. 

     Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
