James Curlee

James Clinton Curlee, 64, of Buena Vista, Georgia, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Buena Vista Cemetery on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 2:00 PM with Reverend David Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Curlee was born January 28, 1949, in Marion County, GA, to Ennis Roy and Mittie Ruth Huff Curlee. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was employed as a welder by Greenfield Manufacturing Company.  He loved fishing and living a simple life. He had lived in Marion County the last 3 years, coming here from Schley County. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a son, Greg and Kim Curlee of Columbus, GA; by two brothers, Bobby E. Curlee of Cordele, GA and Jimmy and Dianne Curlee of Crawfordville, FL; by two sisters, Beatrice and Ray Cook of Buena Vista and Linda Jo Curlee. Several Grandchildren also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
