James Billy Pirkle, Sr.

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. James Billy Pirkle, Sr, age 72, of 409 Shiloh Rd, Ellaville, GA died unexpectedly, Monday, March 16, 2009. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Rev. Greg Kirk will officiate.
Mr. Pirkle was born May 9, 1936 in Turner County, GA, the son of Naomi Lillian Reynolds Pirkle and Cleon Ezekiel Pirkle. He was a member of the National Guard and was retired from the scrap metal business. Mr Pirkle was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Pirkle is survived by his wife, Ethelyne Joyner Pirkle, one daughter and son in law, JoAnn Sheridan and husband Fred of Smithville, GA, two sons and daughters in law, Billy Pirkle, Jr. and wife Terri of Windsor, CO, Tony Pirkle and wife Robynne of Blairsville, GA, one brother and sister in law, B C Pirkle and wife Lucy of Perry, Ga, one sister, Betty Pirkle of Perry, GA; two sister in laws, Mary Pirkle of Gainesville, FL and Martha Pirkle of Dahlonega, GA. Eight grandchildren, Nicholas Sheridan, Chris Sheridan, Jennifer Sheridan, Kristi Sheridan, Courtney Pirkle, Whitney Pirkle, Josh Pirkle and Hannah Pirkle, one great grandchild, Cohen Pirkle also survive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
