James Quarterman

Mr. James Quarterman, age 65, of Buena Vista, GA died Friday June 3, 2011, at the Medical Center in Columbus.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman officiating.

Mr. Quarterman was born March 25, 1946, to Jim and Nadine Phillips Quarterman in Vincennes IN. He was Baptist by faith and was a 33rd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was retired from Weyerhauser where he had worked as a chemical engineer. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Nadine Quarterman of Buena Vista; by two uncles, Mack Phillips and Preston Phillips, and by four aunts, Sybil Roberts, Louise Blyth, Imogene Bray, and Voncile French. He is also survived by his first cousin, Phillip French, as well as several other first cousins.
