James "Randy" R. Tuning

Mr. James Randolph “Randy” Tuning, 65, of Ellaville, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his residence.  A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville. 

Mr. Tuning was born on January 30, 1952 to Randolph Shaffer Tuning and Marjorie Ann Towns Tuning in Miami, FL.  He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids.  Randy was an excellent provider for his family and a hard worker, never allowing them to go without. Everywhere he went he was well known for his exceptional sheet rocking skills. Mr. Tuning was preceded in death by his mother, and a daughter, Christine Tuning.

Survivors include four children, Heather Hammen and her husband, Jesse of Orlando, FL, James Randolph Tuning, Jr. and his wife, Kelley of Sarasota, FL, Britney Hicks and her husband, Jeremy of Clarksville, TN and Jarret Tuning of Ellaville;  his father, Randolph Shaffer Tuning; two sisters, Patricia Hartig and her husband, Ben of Hobe Sound, FL and Jennifer Thomas of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; four grandchildren, Jayden, Bella, Lauren and Ryleigh; three nephews, Ben Hartig, IV, Abigail Donovan and James Thomas; ; and friend and mother to Britney and Jarret, Connie Tuning.
