James L. Ray

Mr. James L. Ray, 72, of Box Springs, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. 

Mr. Ray was born August 23, 1943, in Washington, Georgia, to Louise Parrish.  He had been employed as a Radio DJ and had retired as a 911 Dispatcher for the City of Columbus.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan Brian and Candy Ray of Sacramento, CA, and Robert Daniel and Erica Ray of Birmingham, AL; by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Clifton Cox of Box Springs, GA; by a sister, Patricia Stewart of Thomson, GA; and by five grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
