Jeannie Braden Murphy

Ms. Jeannie Braden Murphy, 52, of Ft.Valley, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her residence.  A graveside funeral will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45AM Saturday morning before the service.

Ms. Murphy was born in Orlando, FL, on May 22, 1970.  She attended Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA, with her fiancé, Daniel. Ms. Murphy loved her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her children as well as her mother and sisters. Ms. Murphy also enjoyed aggravating her brothers. In her spare time, she could be found watching her cop shows, usually “Law & Order” or “Criminal Minds.” She loved all flowers and the color purple. She was preceded in death by her parents, Linton and Jean Harbuck and her brother, Ricky Goodall.

She is survived by her fiancé, Daniel Raburn of Ft. Valley, GA; by her son, Brandon Dempsey of Norman Park, GA; her daughter, Heather Dempsey (Damian Kitchens) of Moultrie, GA; her siblings, John & Debra Goodall of Ellaville, GA, Diana Perry of Cochran, GA, Scooter and Nikki Jenkins of Cobb, GA,and Yvonne Jenkins of Ellaville, GA; and by her granddaughter, Kalie Smithwick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
