Jeannie C. Tyler

Jeannie Ann Cathey Tyler, 70, of Buena Vista, GA, died Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Piedmont Midtown in Columbus, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1:00PM in Union Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. 

Mrs. Tyler was born in Columbus, GA on June 19, 1954, the daughter of Anne Tillery Cathey and Bob Loyd Cathey. Mrs. Tyler retired from the Sumter County Health Department. She enjoyed cooking, the north Georgia mountains, and spending time with her family. Jeannie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness and knowledge touched many. She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Survivors include her husband of over 49 years, Ricky Tyler; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dane & Kelly Tyler, and Wynn & Julie Tyler; four grandchildren, Tillary, Emma, Cason, & Richard; brother, Greg Cathey; and sister, Susan Stewart.
