Mr. Jeffrey Gandy Cawthon, 65, of Ellaville, GA, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family on March 5, 2025. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Jeff Cawthon was born April 18, 1959, in Greensboro GA to John W. Cawthon, Jr and Eloise Gandy Cawthon. Upon graduating from Nathanael Green Academy in 1977. He went on to work locally learning ins and outs of industrial maintenance. In 1988 he covered many positions serving as the plant manager at Chipman Union Sock Factory. Soon after he was given the opportunity to return to industrial Maintenance traveling from the Canadian border to Nogales Mexico, working for various companies on many projects, including Kellogg, Brown and Root, Volvo, Fluor Daniels and several others. Mr. Cawthon retired from Brown and Root industrial Services in 2022 and explored his passion for woodworking and other hobbies. He was preceded in death by his loving parents.

He is survived by his wife Tracy Cawthon of Ellaville; a son, George “Ray” Anders (Brandi) of Ellaville; daughters, Kristy Cawthon of Crawford GA, April Anders (Tracy) of Ellaville, and Becky Schuyler (Bradley) of Woodville GA; a sister, Debra Cawthon Taylor (Jeffery) of Mt. Airy, Maryland; two brothers, John S Cawthon (Ben) of Woodville Ga, and Ken Cawthon (Kathy) of Greensboro GA; 12 Grandchildren, Makaylee Nation, Kaeleigh Anders Snellgrove (Brian), Hayden Cox, Ryese Nation, Austin Cox, Ashton Anders, Lizzy Fountain, Mckenzie Anders, Easton Schuyler, Kaile Cotton (Dylan), Marcus Schuyler, Emily Chosewood (Tony); a great-grandchild, Jackson Cotton and two on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
