Jessie Dobbins

Mr. Jessie Timothy Dobbins, age 58, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend David Chapman officiating.

Mr. Dobbins was born January 5, 1957, in Ben Hill County, GA, to Wilton Eugene and Shirley McDaniel Dobbins. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, his grandkids, and working on anything mechanical. He was a logger by trade and employed by Oak Crest Lumber as a knuckle-boom operator at the time of his demise.  He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley McDaniel Harper; by his significant other, Kathy Dobbins of Buena Vista, GA; by two sons, Cody and Emily Dobbins of Box Springs, GA, and Jeremy and Sara Williams of Fayetteville, NC; by six daughters, Jessica Dobbins of Oglethorpe, GA, Nicole Dobbins of Fayetteville, NC, Pauline Stewart of Ellaville, GA, Christine Joiner of Bronwood, GA, Rachel and Mike Jaskulski of Ellaville, GA, and Barbara Hicks of Tifton, GA; by three brothers, Todd Dobbins of Thomaston, GA, Audie Dobbins of Washington, D. C., and Curtis and Tammy Dobbins of Fitzgerald, GA; by a sister, Jeanette Harper of Fitzgerald, GA; and by 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
