Jimmy Taylor

Mr. Jimmy Alfred Taylor, age 70, of Buena Vista, GA died Tuesday June 14, 2011, at Vista Care Center at Franciscan Woods in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Wesley Watkins and Reverend Raymond Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Watson-Tante Funeral home on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM. Serving as active pallbearers will be Danny Ray Thompson, Bobby Wiggins, Freddie Cooper, Gary Kirby, Colby Rustin, Wayne Thomas and Logan Burdwell. .

Mr. Taylor was born December 5, 1940, to Jim Benjamin Taylor and Lula Elizabeth Thompson Taylor in Talbotton, GA. He was a member of County Line Primitive Baptist Church. He worked in construction and was a cabinet maker and had worked at Redman Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Anita P. Taylor of Buena Vista; one son, Rusty Taylor (Windy) of Buena Vista; two daughters, Wendy Taylor Blount (Mike) of Columbus, GA, Tammi Taylor (Jesse Gutierrez) of Buena Vista; one brother, Wesley Taylor (Brenda) of Buena Vista; and nieces, Julie Taylor and Beth Torres. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Taylor, Quinn, Allisa and Chelsea.
