Jo Ann Horne

Mrs. Mary Jo Ann Pope Horne, 87, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating.

Mrs. Horne was born in Juniper, GA, on May 8, 1937, to Johnny Fred and Lois Harbuck Pope. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Horne worked as a Registered Nurse for Tri-County High School and in home health before her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Horne, Sr. and two brothers, Ray Pope and Charles Pope.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Miller of Buena Vista, GA, and Alan Miller (Sharon) of Ellaville, GA; a brother, Kenneth Pope (Rose) of Harris County, GA; a sister, Jean Powell of Buena Vista, GA; two grandchildren, Jilliann Williams (Dusty), Andy Miller (Alex); five great-grandchildren, Ellie Williams, Karter Patrick, Leighton Miller, Nevaeh Greene and Louie Valentin. She is also survived by a special niece, Susan Ginn (Ted), several other nieces and nephews, and her caretaker, Susan Goggins.
