Joan Waters

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Ms. Joan Waters, age 70, of 2806 Concord Church Rd, Ellaville, GA died early Saturday morning, September 3, 2011 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Center in Plains, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Rev. Chris Hess will officiate.
Ms. Waters was born August 27, 1941 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, the daughter of Lois Myrtle Stancil Davis and Herbert Hamilton Monroe Davis. She was a collection agent with Northside Hospital, Firestone and other corporations before her retirement.
Survivors include three sons and daughter in laws, Donnie Waters and Emma of Andersonville, GA, Sammy Waters and Stacie of Oxford, GA, Bryant Waters of Ellaville, GA and Melissa Waters of Ellaville, GA; one sister and brother in law, Irene Vann and Billy of Douglasville, Ga. Ms. Waters is also survived by seven grandchildren, Joshua Waters, Travis Waters, Kristen Waters, Misty Waters, Laken Waters, Brooke Waters, and Chris Klein; three great grandchildren, Skyler, Rylee, and Jennifer.
Active pallbearers will be Bryant Waters, Sammy Waters, Donnie Waters, Travis Waters, Bob Webb and Mike Burgess.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
