Joanna Powell

Mrs. Joanna Powell, 76 of Ellaville, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 PM at 161 Hurst Rd. Ellaville, GA.

Mrs. Joanna was born to the late Louie and Ola Cochran on May 11, 1946. She was very passionate about her animals, especially horses and dogs. Joanna loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. She enjoyed the water and going to the beach any chance she got.

Survivors include her husband Richard Powell of Ellaville; daughter Barbara Plantier of Port St. Lucie, FL.; sister June Hurst of Ellaville; also are surviving are five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Lynn Ritter and her siblings, Jackie Bendever,Julia Ford, Doris Youngblood, Don Melton, and Ralph Melton.
