Joseph Murray McMickle, Sr.

 Mr. Joseph Murray McMickle, Sr., 79, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 22, 2017.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.

            Mr. McMickle was born July 15, 1938 in Ellaville, GA to the late Lester S. McMickle and Ethelle Murray McMickle.  He was retired from Gulf Oil Company as an accountant.  He was a wonderful piano player and only played by ear.  Mr. McMickle also loved working outdoors and fishing and camping with his family and friends. 

            Survivors include his loving wife, Angie Lightner McMickle of Ellaville; a son, Joseph Murray McMickle, Jr. of Ellaville; a daughter, Connie McMickle of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Ann Battle of Decatur, GA and Margaret Gooding of Ellaville; a granddaughter, Amber Nicole McMickle of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.
