ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Joshua Chad Phagan, age 17, of 370 Ebenezer Road, Ellaville, GA died early Wednesday morning, June 25, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Ellaville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Reverend Ben Foxworth will officiate.
Mr. Phagan was born June 2, 1991 in Sumter County, GA, the son of Tammy James Phagan and Homer Fred Phagan, III. He was a student at Schley County High School where he participated in many school events and sports. Chad was a member of Youth in Charge and a member of Ellaville Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his mother and father, include three brothers, Chase Phagan, Chandler Phagan, and Chance Phagan, all of Ellaville, one step sister and her husband, Natlie and Daniel O'Brien of SC, Maternal grandparents, Tommy James of Ellaville, GA and Margaret James of Buena Vista, GA, paternal grandparents Homer Fred Phagan, Jr. of Hawkinsville, GA and Jane Phagan of Meigs, GA, aunts and uncles, Renaye and Mike Robinson of Ellaville, Steve and Amity James of Ellaville, Plez James of Lenoir, NC, Barbara and Matt Singletary of Warner Robins, GA. Several cousins also survive.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, June 27, 2008 beginning at 6:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
Pallbearers will include Chase Phagan, Jacob Benford, Carlton Kite, Jonathan Jennings, Jesse Colter, Jordan Ball, Cody Brewer, Dylan Bailey and Steven Waigand.
Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
