Joshua Blake Underwood

Mr. Joshua Blake Underwood, 24, of Plains, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Stucker and Rev. Hugh Harbort officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Bryan, Eric Hodges, Wael Zahrouni, Houssan Zahrouni, Michael Bryan, and Jake McCook. The family will greet friends at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

            Joshua was born July 24, 1995 to Robbie Underwood and Jo Ann Raybon in Columbus, Georgia.  He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Joshua loved spending time with his family and playing with his son.  He enjoyed singing and could swim like a fish. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nikki Underwood, his maternal grandparents, James and Elizabeth Raybon; and a paternal grandfather, Roy Dwight Underwood.

            Survivors include his father and step-mother, Robbie and Michelle Underwood of Ellaville; his mother and step-father, Jo Ann and Yamen Ounalli of Americus, GA; his fiancé, Kelly Bryan of Plains, GA; a son, Alexander Underwood; a step-brother, Jake McCook; paternal grandparents, James and Tina Ramsey of Ellaville; two aunts, Sheila Wright and Annette Carlisle; three uncles, Tommy Raybon, Jimmy Raybon and Dwight Underwood; several cousins and other family also survive.
