Mrs. Judy Lavean Plyler, age 69, of 60 Palm Drive, Mauk, GA, died Monday, April 16, 2012,
at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at New Beginning Freewill Baptist Church in Box Springs, GA with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Dallas Short will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, April 20, 2012 from 6-8 pm.
Mrs. Plyler was born January 23, 1943, to Charles and Emma Lavean Snyder Heintzleman. She had lived in the South since 1989 and in Mauk, GA for eleven years. Mrs. Plyler was a homemaker and a member of New Beginning Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bessie Wiekel.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Plyler, six sons and three daughters-in-law, Dennis Gavitt and Shirley of Sunbury, PA, Wayne Plyler, Jr. and Juanita of Mooresville, NC, Tommy Plyler of Mooresville, NC, Charles Gavitt and Leslie of Columbus, GA, Don Plyler of Statesville, NC, and Scottie Plyler of Mt Airy, NC, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lavean Miller and James of Columbus, GA, Michelle Neel and Pressley of Cleveland, NC, one brother and sister in law, Charles and Joanne Heintzleman of Pennsylvania, one sister, Jackie Hartz of South Carolina. Twenty four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive.
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
