Justin Levi Johnson

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Justin Levi Johnson, 39, of Savannah, GA, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 4:00PM at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Ellaville with a reception to follow to visit with family and friends.   Rev. Rickey Rushing will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Marie James, 5899 GA Hwy. 228, Ellaville.

    Justin was born February 7, 1980 in Columbus, GA to William and Janice Johnson of Ellaville currently residing in Morganton, GA.  He was a manager at Longhorn Steak House in Pooler, GA.   Justin swam for the Americus Blue Tide swim team for 11 years.  He attended Georgia Southern University on a swim scholarship. Justin had also served as editor-in-chief for the university newspaper, “The George-Anne”.  He was a master writer, artist, enjoyed photography, loved music, had a great singing voice and enjoyed socializing with his many friends.  Justin was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

     Survivors, in addition to his parents include his sister, Jessica Scott and husband Stuart of Cumming, GA; niece, Banks Scott of Cumming, GA; nephew, Knox Scott of Cumming, GA and several aunts and cousins.  Also surviving are his three Dachshunds, Sterling, Grey and River.

     Memorials may be made to Lil’ Sack of Fun, c/o Andrew Abernathy, 4715 Arbor Meadows Drive, Cumming, GA  30040 or to the Humane Society of Forsyth County, P. O. Box 337, Cumming, GA  30028 in memory of Justin.
