Karen Cook

BUENA VISTA --- Ms. Karen Denise Carter Cook, 53, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Oakland Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Randy Comer officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Weaver. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm.

Ms. Cook was born February 19, 1964, in Americus, GA, to Dewey and Doris Robinson Carter. She was a member of Oakland Church of God and had worked in retail. Ms. Cook enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, cooking, puzzles, and her computer. She was preceded in death by her mother and by a brother, Rory David Carter.

She is survived by her father, Dewey Carter of Buena Vista, GA; by a son, Brandon Cook of Buena Vista, GA; by two daughters, Ashley Cook of Colquitt, GA, and Kayla Rouse of Moultrie, GA; by two sisters, Gay and Freddie Lasseter of Leesburg, GA, and Wendy and Ken Wiggins of Americus, GA; and a grandchild, Kobe Strenth.
