Kathy Watson

Kathy Bedeliea Stubbs Watson, 53, of Mauk, GA, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Mauk Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Stubbs and Rev. Lorne Whitley officiating.  Burial will follow the service at New Life Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Darrin Watson, Barney Teat, Travis Stubbs, Steven Stubbs, Russ Bartlett, Ben Bartlett, Brad Watson and Chad Teat. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 6-8pm.

Ms. Watson was born December 9, 1961, in Taylor County, GA, to Albert and Betty Phillips Stubbs. She was Baptist by faith and a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church and attended Mauk Baptist Church. She was employed as a nursing assistant and enjoyed Native American crafts and racing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved her dog, Sally.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Neil Stubbs.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kim Watson; two daughters, Wanda Watson and Felicia Watson all of Mauk, GA; and five grandchildren, Austin Watson, Hunter Watson, Emily Hobbs, Shelby Hobbs, and Sadie Waters.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
