Mr. Kenneth Allen Jeffries, Sr., 70, of Box Springs, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00AM. Serving as pallbearers will be the Deacons of New Providence, Gene Clark, Roger Sinyard, Vincent Weed, Jeff Fuller, Rudy Killingsworth, Tommy McAllister, Seth McAllister, and Curt Pollock. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Hendricks, Wally Higgs, and Lloyd Hines. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jeffries was born in Albany, GA, on July 22, 1953, to Clifford Kenneth Jeffries and Frances Woolfolk Jeffries Jones. He worked for AT&T for 45 years and was a Special Services Tech. Mr. Jeffries was a devoted member of New Providence Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Jeffries enjoyed outdoors and working with his tractor. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Kenneth Jeffries, his step-father, Jerry Jones, and his father-in-law, Charlie Culpepper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynn Culpepper Jeffries, of Box Springs, GA; by his mother, Frances Jones of Cataula, GA; four children, Kenneth Allen Jeffries, Jr. (Nicole), of Callands, VA; Jonathan Adam Jeffries (Kim) of Box Springs, GA; Kimberly Ann Floyd (Jay) of Thomasville, GA; and Cindy June Jeffries of Box Springs, GA; a brother, Gary Jeffries (Lori) of Columbus, GA; mother-in-law, Ann Culpepper; brother-in-law, Steve Culpepper (Tracy) of Cataula, GA; step-siblings, Kenneth Jones (Susan) and family, Laura Riddick (Russell), Lisa Turnage (Ricky), Betsy McDonald (Wally), and Paul Jones (Jennifer); nine grandchildren, Michael Slover (Emily), Kaitlyn Dailey (Spencer), Jon Boy Jeffries (Olivia), Katie Jeffries, J. D. Jeffries, Gracie, Bobby, Luke, and Emma Floyd; one great-grandchild, Brennan Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.
Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
