Lancy R. Fripp

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Lancy R. Fripp, age 58, of 114 Claude Fripp Road, Ellaville, GA died Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Ebenezer Baptist Chruch with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bryan Bentley, Rev. Robert Orr and Bro. Troy Fripp will officiate.

Mr. Fripp was born September 18, 1953 in Columbus, GA, the son of Elois Miles Fripp and the late Claude Fripp. He was owner of Fripp Paint & Body in Americus, GA and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors include one daughter Micah Rayburn and husband Will of Ellaville; two sons, Stephen Fripp and wife Cheslie of Ellaville, Shane Fripp and wife Jennifer of Ellaville; two brothers, Troy Fripp and wife Sharon of Ellaville, Dean Fripp and wife Michelle of Roberta, GA; five sisters, Donna McLaurin and husband Dwight of Columbus, GA, Elaine Franklin and husband Jerry of Ellaville, Deborah Davis and husband Mike of Louisville, KY, Darlene Rustin and husband Ray of Buena Vista, GA, Vicki Yarbrough and husband Rufus of Ellaville. His ten grandchildren, Ruthie Fripp, Lance Fripp, Kiley Rayburn, Rebekah Fripp, Scott Fripp, Judah Rayburn, Coy Fripp, Isaac Fripp, Benjamin Rayburn and Samuel Fripp, whom he loved and adored and knew him as "Papa" also survive along with a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Mr. Fripp was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Ferguson Fripp.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, April 11 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Schley Senior Center, P. O. Box 839, Ellaville, GA 31806.

Pallbearers will include Brian Barnhill, Elisha Fripp, Corey Fripp, Josh Mattson, Pete Yarbrough, C J Yarbrough, Jacob Dillard and Colby Rustin. Honorary Pallbearers will include Marvin Smith, Jody Dillard, Tim Wilson, Terry Pennington, Corey Stallings, James Smith, Alex Garcia, Al Colquitt and Rusty Taylor.
