Larry Roy Penninger, 73, of Mauk, GA, died Sunday, September 22, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Penninger was born March 10, 1940, in Danville, VA, to C. G. and Sally Turner Penninger. Raised by his mother and stepfather, Roy and Peggy Corn, he served in the Marines. He loved driving his truck and was the owner and operator of his own truck driving service. He was a happy go lucky man who loved riding horses and going to the auction. He also enjoyed fixing up cars and selling them. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. G. Penninger, Roy Corn and Peggy Corn, as well as a daughter, Doreen P. Lanza.
He is survived by three sons, Larry Penninger, Jr. of VA, Kelly Penninger of VA, and Mark (Lois) Penninger of SC; by two daughters, Denise (Rickey) Farrington, of NJ, and Lisa Haddar of MS; by a brother, Kenneth Penninger of VA; and by 11 grandchildren.
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
