Lila O'Dell Driver

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Lila O’Dell Driver, age 86, of Tampa, FL died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Bamboo Gardens Assisted Living. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Cullman, AL. 

      Mrs. Driver was born July 26, 1929 in Cullman, AL to George and Elon Belle Wilkins. She graduated from Fairview Alabama High School in 1947.  Mrs. Driver moved to Tampa, FL in 1962. She had worked in clothing and electronics manufacturing, working first for Holdproof in Cullman, AL and then at Honeywell in Tampa, FL.  Mrs. Driver was known for her delicious cake and pies and helping anyone in need.

    Survivors include two sons, George Driver and James Driver, both of Tampa, FL; one daughter Lila Sexton of Ellaville; one grandson, Toby Sexton and wife Ruby of Ellaville; one granddaughter, Melanie Liles and husband Bryant of Columbia, SC; two great grandsons, Dakota Sexton and Camryn Sexton, both of Ellaville; and one great granddaughter, Hannah Liles of Columbia, SC.  Mrs. Driver was the youngest of twelve siblings and has numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews spread across the southeast United States, with most located in or near Cullman, AL.

      Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P. O. Box 9601, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
