Linda Chavers Pilcher

Ms. Linda Chavers Pilcher, 72, of Americus, GA passed away at her residence on March 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at Bison Valley Lodge, 1085 Tallent Store Rd., Americus, GA on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. 

Ms. Pilcher was born November 20, 1949 in Sumter County, Georgia to Fred Chavers and Jeannette Pugh Chavers. She was retired as a school bus driver, having driven for over 30 years for Southland Academy and the Schley County School System.  Ms. Pilcher loved spending times with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed crafting and reading in her spare time.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Pilcher; mother and father-in-law, R.L. & Peggy Pilcher; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Amelia Pilcher; a sister-in-law, Linda Easom and a brother-in-law, James Conger.

Survivors include her children, Freddie “Buster” Pilcher and his wife, Mindy, Bobby Pilcher and his wife, Kim and Wendy Winters and her husband, Adam, all of Americus; two sisters, Pat Conger of Plains, GA and Sue Gilbert and her husband, Jack of Panama City Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Patrick Pilcher, Morgan Pilcher, Lyndsie Pilcher, A.J. Winters, Wyatt Winters, Katie Avery (Steven,) and Amanda Chapman; two great-grandchildren, Liam Avery and Hunter Sommers; two brothers-in law, Sammy Pilcher and his wife Mary Nan and George Easom; a sisters-in-law, Patricia Thornrose and her husband, Butch, Sue Pilcher, and Debbie Smith; her “adopted” sisters, Karan Albritton and Cheryl Harbuck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
