Lisa Jane Childs-Tondee

Mrs. Lisa Jane Childs-Tondee, 56, of Ellaville, GA, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with Bro. Troy Fripp and Caleb Golden officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, GA at 2:00 PM with Rev. James M. Corbitt and Bro. Troy Fripp officiating.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home at 10:00 AM until service time.

Mrs. Tondee was born October 7, 1961, in Macon, GA, to Charles and Barbara Sanders Childs. She was a member of Shema Baptist Church.  Mrs. Tondee loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and telling stories about her sweet Harlan Rae.  Lisa enjoyed drawing and taking trips to the beach. She loved singing gospel music and studying The Bible. Lisa’s faith never wavered and she knew she had an eternal resting place in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Franklin Childs and a brother, Charles Wendell Childs.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Tondee of Ellaville, GA; by her mother, Barbara Childs of Macon, GA; by her daughter, Laura Ashlea Turner (Jesse) of Musella, GA; by a sister, Carletta Mathews of Macon, GA; step-children, Terry Tondee of Americus, GA, Robert and Michelle Tondee of Ellaville, GA, Nikki Tondee of Ellaville, GA, and Daniel Tondee of Americus, GA; a niece, Brittany Mathews of Macon; a nephew, Mason Mathews (Avery) of Cochran, GA; and 22 grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Shema Baptist Church or to the Children’s Hospital at Navicent Health, 888 Pine St., Macon, GA 31201.
