Marianne Walls

Ms. Marianne Walls, age 79, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home.

Ms. Walls was born December 9, 1934, in Talbot County, the daughter of the late Vernon Hall and Sara Hill Hall. She was a member of the Tazewell Baptist Church and a member of the Magnolia Manor Auxillary. Ms. Walls had worked with the Marion Co. Board of Education for 54 years before her retirement.

Ms. Walls is survived by one son, Jay Walls of Buena Vista, GA; one daughter, Robin Singleton and husband Ricky of Buena Vista, GA;  one brother, Ronnie Hall and wife Sheila of Buena Vista, GA; one sister, Shirley Headden and husband Ralph of Smithville, GA; four grandchildren: Ashlei Brown (Jason), Ivy Oliver (Matt), Ben Singleton (Monica), and Addison Walls (Mia); three great grandchildren: Jake Brown, Katie Brown, and Jade Shropshire.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Tazewell Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00.

Pallbearers will include Addison Walls, Ben Singleton, Jason Brown, Matt Oliver, Tracy Wall, Brad Hall, Brian Hall and Kem Tyler.  Bobby Icard, Buddy Powell, Amy Bryan, Ernest Hart, and Larry Whitley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
