Marilyn P. Thompkins

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Ms. Marilyn P. Thompkins, age 74, of Ellaville, GA died Saturday, May 18, 2013.  Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, GA.   Bro. Troy Fripp will officiate. 

     Ms. Thompkins was born December 7, 1938 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of Thomas and Marian Felts.  She worked at The Manhattan Shirt Factory and the Tog Shop in Americus, GA.  Ms. Thompkins was a member of Brooklyn Heights Baptist Church.

     Ms. Thompkins is survived by one daughter, Sharon Robinson and companion Wendell Poole of Ellaville; three sons, Bill Fitzgerald, Jr. and wife Shelby of Moultrie, GA, Tommy Fitzgerald and wife Margie of Americus, GA, Harold Potter of Americus, GA; one brother, Tommy Felts of Lawrenceville, GA and one sister, Nancy Carswell of Lawrenceville, GA.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.  Ms. Thompkins was preceded in death by one son, Kenly Potter and one sister, Barbara Baker.

     Pallbearers will include, Quint Robinson, Mike Wainwright, Chris Wainwright, Cory Robinson, Justin Potter and Blake Potter.

     Visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA. 

     Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
