Marjorie Sellars

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Miss Marjorie Sellars, age 91, of 1120 Hopewell Road Ellaville, GA died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Perfect Care in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Hopewell United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.

Miss Sellars was born June 2, 1921 in Schley County, GA the daughter of Mae Bivins Sellars and Ben Smith Sellars. She was retired from Manhattan Shirt Factory. Miss Sellars was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Rainbow Garden Club.

Miss Sellars is survived by one cousin, Henry Sellars and wife Mitt of Ellaville. In addition to her parents, Miss Sellars was preceded in death by two cousins, Russell Sellars and Agnes S. McCorkle.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Sellars, Ben Sellars, Will Sellars, Mike Sellars, Chris McCorkle, and Jimmy Harrison.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville. The family will be meeting at the home of Henry Sellars, 1001 Hopewell Church Road, Ellaville, GA.
