ELLAVILLE, GA --- MARJORIE ANNE TUNING, of Ellaville, GA and formerly of Jupiter, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 25, 2009, following an extended illness. Born in Dothan, Alabama, she was the daughter of Edna Mae Towns and Calvin Sylvester Towns. Mrs. Tuning graduated from Jackson High School in Miami, FL, where she met her husband Randolph S. Tuning and also attended Bob Jones University of Greenville, South Carolina. Her family was the great love of her life.
Mrs. Tuning is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Randolph S. Tuning; brother James Towns and his wife Marti of Las Vegas, NV; son, James Randolph Tuning and his wife Connie Tuning of Ellaville; daughter, Patricia Tuning-Hartig and her husband Ben C. Hartig III of Hobe Sound, FL; daughter, Jennifer Tuning-Thomas of Jupiter, FL; her grandchildren, Heather Marie Tuning-Hammen, James Randolph Tuning Jr., Christine Tuning, Britney Ann Tuning, Jarret Michael Tuning, Benjamin C. Hartig IV, Abigail Edna Thomas, James Charles Thomas, Jr. and her great-grandchildren, Jayden and Bella Hammen. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Jarvis of Tequesta, FL and brother-in-law, James Tuning and his wife Diane of Brooksville, FL.
