Martha Jane Fannin

Mrs. Martha Jane Fannin, 83, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Magnolia Manor of Buena Vista, GA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Brown Springs Church of God with Jackie Robinson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be David Hurst, Caleb Lewis, Thomas Adamavage, Jr., Ray Hurst, Ronald Hurst, and Cody Coon. The family will greet friends at graveside one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM.

Mrs. Fannin was born in Iron City, GA, on May 7, 1940, to Albert R. and Hattie Perry Register. She was employed with Darwood Manufacturing in Pelham, GA. She loved the Lord and going to church and she led many to the Lord. Mrs. Fannin attended Brown Springs Church of God. She was a great mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. Fannin, by a son, Robert Hurst, by a sister, Margie Folsom and a brother, Maxie Dean Register.

She is survived by her children, Ray Hurst, Ricky Hurst, Ronald Hurst, Sarah and David Hurst, and Cindy and Troy Gardner; by her siblings, Hubert James Register, Thomas Earl Register, Betty Everett, and Patricia Kirksey; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
