Marvin Eugene DeVane, Jr.

Mr. Marvin Eugene DeVane, Jr., 67 of Ellaville, GA passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, November 22, 2021. Funeral services will be held at Ellaville United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Bro. CJ Yarbrough and Bro. Troy Fripp officiating. Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Devane was born August 14, 1954 in Americus, Georgia to the late Marvin Eugene DeVane, Sr. and Virginia Laura Durham DeVane. He worked faithfully as a commercial purchaser for Pro-Mod, Inc. in Ellaville. Mr. DeVane loved spending time with his family and attending sporting events for his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Heather Netrow and her husband, Bob of Fortson, GA, Trey DeVane and his wife Kim of Ellaville, GA and Hollie Taylor and her husband, John Shannon of Ellaville, GA; three sisters, Carlynn Kirby and her husband, Charles of Ellaville, Marvilyn “Cissy” Harvey of Ellaville, and Vangie Sanderlin and her husband, Charles of Americus, GA; his former spouse, Brenda DeVane of Fortson, GA; eleven grandchildren, Cason Cail, Devan Cail, Ginni DeVane, Ashley Cordell, Kaci Lynn Register, Maci DeVane, Ethan Register, Camden Pritchard, Gage DeVane, Sloan Taylor and Laural Taylor; a great-grandchild, Blakely Fulman; and several nieces and nephews.
