Mary Margaret James

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mary Margaret James, age 65, Daryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, GA died Thursday May 7, 2009 at Stewart Webster Hospital in Richland, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 10 in the Chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Reverend A. R. Curlee will officiate.
Ms. James was born July 5, 1943 in Elk Park, NC and was the daughter of Laura Brown Thompson and Roby Thompson. She was self employed in the construction business for many years, had worked at Metalux Lighting and was a member of Oakland Church of God. Ms. James was preceded in death by one grandson, Chad Phagan.
Survivors include three daughters and one son in law, Barbara Ann Singletary of Warner Robins, Renaye and Mike Robinson of Ellaville, GA, Tammy Phagan of Ellaville, GA, two sons and one daughter in law, Plez James, Steve and Amity James all of Ellaville, two brothers, Bill Thompson of St. Pete, FL and Tom Thompson of Lenoir, NC, three sisters, Jenny Johnson of Morganton, NC, Alma Buchanan of Lenoir, NC, and Ruby Chester of Lenoir, NC. Eleven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.
Active pallbearers will include Chase Phagan, Cody Robinson, Mark Churchwell, Brien Blankenship, David Lane, Lawrence Collier and Wayne Price.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
