Michael John Chomo, Sr.

Mr. Michael John Chomo, Sr., age 69, of Box Springs, GA, died on Monday, January 14, 2019, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home.

Mr. Chomo was born on February 14, 1949, in Tampa, FL, to John Joseph and Gertrude Huston Chomo. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and had been employed with United Van Lines as a truck driver. Mr. Chomo was a great brother with a kind heart that loved to help anyone that was in need. He enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Chomo and a sister, Virginia Chomo.

He is survived by a son, Michael J. Chomo, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Michelle Orr of Ore City, TX; two brothers, Richard and Donna Chomo of Box Springs, GA, and Barney Chomo of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Arianna and Tristan. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
