Mozell Teat

Mrs. Mozell Teat, 82, of Mauk, GA passed away on July 4, 2023.  Graveside services will be held at Pine Level Cemetery in Mauk, GA on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 9:00 AM.  Pallbearers will be Brad Watson, Darrin Watson, Barry Watson, Clayton Teat, Chad Teat, Travis Fuller, Douglas Watson and Jeff Comer. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM. 

Mrs. Teat was born September 6, 1940 in Mauk, GA to Edgar and Beulah Hayes Watson.  She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.  Mrs. Teat loved spending time with her family and friends, especially cooking for them.  She was well known for her blackberry jelly and cakes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Teat, a brother, Gordon Watson and a grandson, Noah Teat. 

Survivors include her sons, James F. Teat and his wife, Carolyn and Barney Teat and his wife, Sandra; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Teat; four grandchildren, Chad Teat, Clayton Teat (Amanda), Brooke Fuller (Travis), and Anna Teat; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to New Life Baptist Church, 5289 GA Hwy 240 N, Mauk, GA 31058.
