Mr. John "Johnny" Grady Long

Mr. John "Johnny" Grady Long, 78, of Americus passed away at his residence on October 13, 2023.  There will be a visitation and memorial service held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at 2319 Frank Roberts Rd., Ellaville, GA 31806.

He was born March 27, 1945 in Butler, GA to Emmitt and Mavis Stevens Long.  Mr. Long began working at an early age with his father at Long Welding and Machine Shop in Americus where he began his career in building “Hot Rod” motors and cars.  He was very well known all around will be greatly missed by many.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Long.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Wendy Long of Ellaville; and a grandson, Tyler Long.
