Neta H. Fountain

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Neta H. Fountain, age 86, of Ellaville, GA died Saturday evening, June 13, 2009. Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Rev. Clifford Braxton will officiate.
Mrs. Fountain was born February 23, 1923 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of Lena Proctor Nippers. She was a homemaker and a seamstress, having worked at Gertrude Davenport Shirt Company.
Mrs. Fountain was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Fountain. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Medlin and one son, James A. Fountain, both of Ellaville. Five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fountain was also preceded in death by sons, Thomas Michael Fountain, Henry Lee Fountain; daughters, Pauline Fountain, Alice Ruth Fountain, Judy Ann Fountain; and grandsons, Earl Fountain and Jeremy Medlin.
Pallbearers will include Shane Tondee, R. B. Yarbrough, Kahlen Oakes, Bob Usry, Blake Hartsfield and Michael Lamberth.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
