Ora Shaw Callaway

Mrs. Ora Maude (Shaw) Callaway, age 90, formerly of Ellaville passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Maple Ridge Health Care Center in Cartersville, GA.  She spent the last five years in Cartersville with her daughter, Jane Aycock. Due to unforeseen circumstances a private graveside service will be held in the Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery, Woodville, GA.

      Mrs. Callaway was born December 8, 1929 in Greene County, GA, the daughter of the late James Allen Shaw and Sara Maude Callaway Shaw.  Before retiring, she worked with AT&T. Mrs. Callaway was a member of Woodville Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Garland Callaway and her step-mother, Mabel Shaw.

      Survivors include one daughter, Jane Aycock and husband James of Cartersville, Georgia; one son, Dr. Charles A. Callaway and wife Regena of Dalton, Georgia; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Orvis and husband Hunter of Brevard, NC; four grandsons, Mark Bryan and wife Shannon of Lakeside, CA, Dr. Jim Callaway and wife Amelia of Hoover, AL, Benjamin Callaway and wife Lindsey of Signal Mountain, TN, and Stephen Callaway and wife Kayla of Tucker, GA; and five great grandchildren.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Woodville Baptist Church, 1191 Peachtree Avenue E., Woodville, GA 30669.
