ELLAVILLE, GA --- Ms. Patricia Miles Cook Clemons, age 75, of 801 Ronnie Rd, Buena Vista, GA died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 18,2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev.Andy Taunton, Rev. Bryan Bentley, Bro. Troy Fripp, Rev. Robert Orr and Rev. Dean Long will officiate.
Ms. Clemons was born March 13, 1936 in Schley County, GA, the daughter of Bessie Sorrells Miles and Oscar C Miles. She had worked at Red Lobster in Columbus for many years and was a house mom at Tabernacle Baptist Church Children's Home in Greenville, SC. Ms. Clemons was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
Ms. Clemons is survived by one daughter and son in law, Sherry Woodall and husband Joe of Buena Vista, one son and daughter in law, Derrell Cook and wife Penny of Buena Vista, GA, one brother, Clinton Miles of Albany, GA, two sisters, Elois Fripp of Ellaville and Betty Miles Holland of Cordele, GA. Two grandchildren, Ashley Woodall and Chase Cook also survive.
Pallbearers will include Steven Fripp, Larry Miles, C J Yarbrough, Michael Miles, Howard Cook and Jerry Franklin.
Donations may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Youth Program, P O Box 103, Ellaville, GA 31806.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
