Philip French

Mr. Philip Eugene French, 75, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.

Mr. French was born in Columbus, GA, on December 1, 1948, to Eugene Norton and Voncile Phillips French. A member of Draneville Union Church, he had been employed with the Marion County as the Tax Assessor for many years. Mr. French was also the owner and operator of French Farms. He farmed for his entire life and enjoyed tending to his cattle herd. He liked to spend time with his family and friends. Mr. French was a good father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, June Drude.

He is survived by his son, Philip Shannon French and a grandson Philip Chase French, both of Buena Vista, GA. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family also survive.
