Phillip M. Johnson

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Phillip M. Johnson, age 69, of Ellaville, GA, died Tuesday evening July 8, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church.  Rev. Mark Williams and Rev. Bryan Bentley will officiate.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

     Mr. Johnson was born January 21, 1945 in Schley County, GA the son of the late Morris Johnson and the late Ludie Smith.  He was retired from the City of Ellaville and the County of Schley where he had served as Water Superintendent.  Mr. Johnson was a member of the Georgia Rural Water Association and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church

     Survivors include his wife, Jodi Johnson; three sons, Bobby Len Johnson and wife Jane of Ellaville, Johnny Lee Johnson and wife Patricia of Ellaville, David Skipper of Ellaville; four daughters, Glenda Johnson of Ellaville, Judie Dozier and husband Marvin of Plains, GA, Angie French and husband Shannon of Ellaville and Sherri Skipper of Ellaville. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
