Raymond C. Cromer

Mr. Raymond C. Cromer, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 4:00 PM in Tazewell Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating.  The family will greet friends at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Pallbearers will be Steve Underwood, Tony Underwood, Anthony Tyler, Russell Tyler, Jim Sellars and Jimmy Harrison. Grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.

            Mr. Cromer was born August 4, 1936 to the late Charlie and Vera Odom Cromer in Schley County, GA.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but loved fox hunting the most.  Mr. Cromer loved spending time with his family and friends and having fish frys.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Cromer.

            Survivors include his two sons, Wayne Cromer and his wife, Dawn of Ellaville, GA and Neal Cromer and his wife, Tracy of Ellaville, GA; Five grandchildren, Patrick Cromer, Ryan Cromer (Jordan), Brandilyn Cromer, Jaycob Cromer and Kerri Cromer; a brother, Gene Cromer and his wife, Linda of Mauk; two sisters, Lois Underwood of Atlanta, GA and Verna Mae White of Americus, GA.

            In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice, 100 Brookestone Centre Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904.
