Renee Rumph

Mrs. Renee Hudgins Rumph, 56, of Box Springs, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Columbus Hospice.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Waddell and Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Tommy Whitaker, Chris Johnson, Dennis Bailey, Zachary Buice, Anthony Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Chase Hudgins, and Jason Buice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Watson-Tante Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rumph was born January 14, 1959 to Vernon Andrew Hudgins and Patricia Brannon Hudgins in Duluth, GA. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.  Mrs. Rumph was a loving wife, mother and Nana. She enjoyed going to church and family get togethers. Renee loved going to the beach.  She always cared for others and put them before herself. Family was her life.  Renee was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hudgins. 

Survivors include her husband, David Rumph of Box Springs, GA; two sons, Brian Johnson and his wife, Mary of Columbus, GA and Timothy Rumph and his wife Brittany of Box Springs, GA; two daughters, Lindsey Hinds and her husband, Allen of Columbus, GA and Tiffany Warner and her husband, Marc of Box Springs, GA; her mother, Pat Hudgins; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Kaydance and Marc Warner, Ethan and Ivey Johnson and Alice and Sadie Hinds; two brothers, Sam Hudgins of Dallas, GA and Andy Hudgins of Ellijay, GA; a sister, Sheila Buice and her husband, Russell of Dawsonville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
