Rev. Harold Dean Grimes

AMERICUS, GA --- Rev. Harold Dean Grimes, 64, of Americus, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Overflow Worship Center with Rev. Will Rayburn officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the church.

Rev. Grimes was born in Trion, GA, on December 30, 1954, to Howard Ross and Lily Mae Bremer Grimes. Rev. Grimes loved ministering and church was a passion of his. He was employed as the Associate Pastor at Overflow Worship Center in Ellaville, GA. Rev. Grimes loved tennis and was a member of the USTA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Grimes of Americus, GA; by his children, Christy Lea Moss of Champagne, IL, Stephen Michael and Brooke Grimes of Ft. Worth, TX, Shaun David Grimes of Americus, GA, and Rebekah Kaye and Andy Horst of Birmingham, AL; by a brother, David Lee and Barbara Grimes of MS; by a sister, Brenda Jean and George Leon of IL; and by four grandchildren, Anouk Moss, Amelie Moss, Trinity Grimes, and Bethany Grimes.

Memorials may be made to the Overflow Worship Center Building Fund.
