Richard Allan “Duck” Edwards

Mr. Richard “Duck” Allan Edwards, age 65, of Box Springs, GA, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at his residence. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Way-Watson Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
 
Mr. Edwards was born in Columbus, GA, on September 11, 1955 to Louis A. and Geneva Zuback Edwards, Jr.  In his early 20’s he began woodworking where he inherited his talent from his Grandfather Zuback.  He worked with Columbus Cabinet before opening his own woodworking business.  Mr. Edwards was known for his staircase craftsmanship.  He and his brother Larry loved riding motorcycles together and he had friends everywhere.  Mr. Edwards had a very creative mind and enjoyed playing video games and creating intricate designs on his Etch-a-Sketch.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dean Edwards.
 
He is survived by his mother, Geneva Zuback Edwards of Buena Vista, GA; a sister, Rachel McCallister of Cataula, GA; by a niece, Jessica Simmons (Jonathon) and by a great niece, Cora; four aunts, three uncles and numerous cousins and other family.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
